Mistake Library

Scope

This policy explains how Emotive Studios LLC ("Emotive Studios," "we," "us," or "our") handles information when you use Mistake Library. It applies only to this product. Any third-party service identified in this policy has its own privacy practices.

Information stored on your device

The app stores the records you create, including titles, categories, severity and emotion selections, stories, root causes, lessons, future rules, reflections, outcomes, warning signs, tags, review checkpoints, attachments, and optional voice recordings. This content is stored in the app’s local database and shared app-group container for app and widget features. CloudKit synchronization is not enabled.

Emotive Studios does not operate a server for this content and cannot access it. The app does not include third-party advertising or analytics.

Microphone, notifications, and exports

Microphone access is requested only when you choose to record a voice note. Notification permission is used to schedule review reminders on your device. The widget reads only the local information needed to display the widget content you enable.

When you use an export or share feature, the selected content is provided to the destination you choose. That destination handles the exported information under its own privacy terms.

Subscriptions

Optional subscriptions are processed by Apple through StoreKit. Emotive Studios does not receive payment card details. The app receives transaction and entitlement information needed to confirm access to subscription features.

Data sharing and tracking

Mistake Library does not sell personal information, share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, or track you across apps or websites. Private entries and recordings are not sent to Emotive Studios.

Retention and deletion

Local content remains until you delete records or remove the app and its data. Exported copies must be deleted from their destination separately. App Store purchase history is controlled by Apple.

Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information we control, and to appeal or complain about how a request is handled. Emotive Studios does not discriminate against anyone for exercising a privacy right. Most information described as local in this policy is controlled directly through the app and your device; Emotive Studios cannot retrieve data it never receives.

We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. To make a request concerning information held by Emotive Studios, use the contact information below. We may need to verify the request before acting on it.

Security

We use administrative, technical, and organizational measures appropriate to the information and services we operate. No storage or transmission method is completely secure. Protect your device, operating-system account, exported files, and backups with appropriate access controls.

Children

Mistake Library is not directed to children under 13, and Emotive Studios does not knowingly collect personal information from children through the product. A parent or guardian who believes a child provided information to Emotive Studios may contact us to request review and deletion.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when the product, its services, or legal requirements change. The effective date at the top of the page identifies the current version. Material changes will be presented through the website, the app, or another appropriate notice.
